Goals of the Award:
- Making the achievements of women at board level visible
- Broadening the pool of female candidates for board chairmanship
- Broadening the competencies integrated into the board of directors
- Promoting diversity at board level
- Strengthening women in business
Gunnar Eckbo originally launched the award in Norway (2010) - followed by Sweden (2012). In cooperation with Susanne Hoeck - the concept was developed to international standards and relaunched as Women's Board Award in Denmark (2014) and Finland (2016), Switzerland (2019) to identify female excellence and performance at the highest level of management: www.womensboardaward.dk and www.womensboardawward.ch
