The St Martin'S

The St Martin’s Group is a unique membership organisation created to support the UK economy by fostering a sustainable, quality-focused and employer-led apprenticeship and skills system. Launched in 2018, the Group brings together stakeholders from some of the UK’s leading employers, training providers and awarding organisations from across all sectors and levels of qualification, which together are representative of the UK’s delivery infrastructure. Since 2021, with encouragement from key stakeholders, the Group has expanded its aims to include the wider adult funded skills market. These efforts will ensure the Group and its members are able to promote increasing collaboration and engagement in the sector for the benefit of all stakeholders. Collectively, the Group encompasses the views of employers, training providers and awarding organisations. Being representative of the UK skills delivery infrastructure, provides us with unique insight, expertise and knowledge to address the current and long-term issues and ambitions of the sector. Our aims include: • Being recognised and respected by policy makers and officials for providing evidence-based, practical solutions which promote sustainability, quality and growth in the employer-led skills market, and playing an important and highly collaborative role with governments in creating a world class employer-centric skills system. • Increasing participation in the workforce by raising the credibility and awareness of employer-centric skills programmes among potential learners and businesses. • Promoting increased engagement and collaboration between leaders of employers, their training providers, awarding organisations and other industry associations for the benefit of all stakeholders.
