The Learner First (TLF) provides professional development to improve academic + social and emotional learning outcomes. Beginning with the cultural and practical capabilities that school systems need to develop academic and lifelong well-being, TLF puts the processes in place for designing contributive learning experiences, measuring outcomes, and leading real change.
In TLF schools, regions, state and country leadership and community teams are created consisting of diverse learning partners who are working to support all students by design learning opportunities that develop four outcomes: self-understanding, knowledge - including all curriculum areas, competency, and connection. As a result, students learn to contribute to the world in ways that bring meaning and lifelong success.
Founded by Joanne McEachen, a leading global voice in education The Learner First is currently working in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA.
