Teaching Schools Alliance Sydney

The Teaching Schools Alliance Sydney (TSAS) is about teacher formation. Based on clinical teaching models around the world, the Alliance is akin to an industry cadetship. It attracts exceptional school leavers or career changers into Christian teaching, not after their degree, but at the very beginning. Rather than spending a few weeks here and there in the classroom, from day one Trainees are embedded within a school for at least one day per week working under a Teacher Mentor. Trainees study their degree as a cohort, gather for weekly Bespoke sessions focussed on practical skill development, while hearing from leading Christian educators through the Visiting Fellow Program. It’s a vision for equipping and growing a new generation of Christian teachers and leaders.
