The TEACH Initiative is an organization of University of North Carolina undergraduates working to develop and deliver curricula on mental health and substance use in North Carolina high schools. We take a strongly non-stigmatizing, harm-reductionist approach, emphasizing the fact that mental health conditions and addictions are, for the most part, treatable medical conditions - not weaknesses or moral failings.
We've been building an advisory board consisting of experts on mental health, addiction, pedagogy, and community engagement. To learn more about our approach, our advisory board, our curricula, or anything else, visit our website or reach out to info@teachinitiativenc.org!
