Student Alumni Relations Cell (SARC) is a voluntary organization run by the students of IIT Bombay committed towards the enhancement of relations between students and alumni of IIT Bombay.
Throughout the year, we are the organization to turn to if any student wishes to know alumni or if alumni wish to return to the Institute for whatever purpose.
Apart from that, we have launched many initiatives which have acted as a common platform for interaction and networking between students and alumni. One of these is the Alumination, usually held during the first weekend of October. It is an open platform for students to freely interact with alumni in person.
Alumni-Student Mentorship Programme (ASMP) provides an avenue for students -alumni to have a fruitful relationship. Interested students are allotted alumni mentors who then provide them able guidance regarding their queries.
Started in 2008, SARC also provides a priceless opportunity for direct telephonic conversations with alumni through Phonathons. In the last 10 years, SARC has connected to over 30000 alumni through these conversations. These phone calls are often vital stimulants to bring alumni back in touch with their alma mater, their home. These telephonic conversations are simultaneously used to update our huge database periodically.
SARC volunteers and team members have the splendid privilege of being a part of all these events in various capacities. One gets to meet and interact with eminent personalities, artists, professionals, researchers and countless others. Indeed, the only thing that is common to all our alumni is their undying love for the institute and their genuine willingness to help it.
So to any student or alumna/alumnus reading this, you have but to approach us and we shall be at your service. We hope that SARC continues to play its pivotal role well in the future and serve our institute to the fullest
