Stover School is a leading independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 3-18.
It is set in 64 acres of beautiful and historical grounds in the heart of Devonâs glorious countryside between the foothills of Dartmoor and the South West Coastline.
Founded in 1932 Stover School aims to provide a high quality education in accordance to Christian principles, enabling pupils to acquire the qualifications, confidence and skills needed to achieve their aspirations.
Throughout the school we offer a broad and balanced curriculum that recognises natural talents and nurtures the individual. Our dedicated team of teaching and pastoral care staff provide encouragement, motivation and support to enable pupils to achieve their aspirations academically and in the expressive arts, music, drama and sport. Our extra-curricular activities and enrichment programmes have a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy providing opportunities to develop new skills and challenges.
As a relatively small school we know every pupil very well. Our ethos is centred on the care and support of our pupils by providing a safe and friendly learning environment that builds confidence and independence. With a strong house system this provides a framework for pupils to develop a sense of collectiveness within a supportive environment. Pupils learn respect for themselves and others through our teaching of moral values and good standards of behaviour.
Our aim is that every child who comes into the school will enjoy their experience at Stover. They will look back on their school days with affection; having achieved the best they are capable of, explored different opportunities and challenges with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to leave Stover equipped with the qualifications and skills required for life as an adult.
