St Bede's is a great place to work. The community is vibrant, focused on learning and caring for our students. Staff relationships are very strong, supportive and welcoming. Our students like the school and behaviour is outstanding. We have approximately 1800 mixed ability students aged 11 - 18. Our GCSE exam results make us in the top 150 non-selective state schools in England reflecting the very effective three way partnership we enjoy; hard working pupils, committed staff and supportive parents.
We offer initial Teacher Training though the i2i Partnership, an alliance of Surrey and Hampshire secondary schools. The partnership's prime focus is school-based teacher training through our SCITT, Teach@Weydon, and School Direct Programmes. We provide those entering the profession with world class training and all programmes lead to QTS and offer PGCE. For further information about local training or to register interest please visiting the following website:

We welcome applications from NQTs and more experienced teachers. Whatever your level of experience, and regardless of whether you are a teacher or member of support staff, this is a school where you will have opportunity to develop. Teachers in their NQT year benefit from an excellent level of support through mentoring and a full NQT programme.
St Bede's is a charitable trust jointly held by the Anglican Diocese of Southwark and the RC Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. Staff can be of any religion, or none at all, but must be able to support the ethos of the school.
At St Bede's we take the safeguarding of children very seriously. Applications for vacancies will only be considered if made on our standard application form. References are sought after shortlisting, but before interview. Full DBS checks are made and we verify relevant qualifications before confirming employment offers.
