Red Balloon Educational Trust provides an alternative to mainstream schools for young people unable to attend school due to trauma, low mental health, and other issues.
Our provision is specifically designed with an equal focus on mental wellbeing and personal development alongside education. Whatever challenges they are facing, we support our student's individual needs to work towards their personal goals. We help them grow as individuals, restore their confidence, develop resilience, and build the skills they need to successfully handle returning to education, work, or further training.
We are the only organisation that offers this level of personalised, multi-faceted support to prevent self-excluded young people from permanently withdrawing from education.
Red Balloon Educational Trust includes the Centres Red Balloon of the Air and Red Balloon Worthing as well as the Central Services team which provides shared support to all Centres in the Red Balloon Network.
Red Balloon of the Air
RBAir is our blended face-to-face and online provision. Like our other Centres, Red Balloon of the Air offers a warm and welcoming learning community, but its students are offered a unique blend of online and face-to-face education and support.
Red Balloon Worthing
RB-Worthing is our newest Centre in the RBET network. Opening in September 2022 to its first cohort of students, the Centre provides face-to-face provision for young people across West Sussex.
Red Balloon delivers our unique programmes through RBET and our network of Learner Centres across the southeast of the country.
