Rbms (River Basin Management Society)

The RBMS is Australia’s leading member-based organisation dedicated to integrating catchment and river management. Established in Victoria in 1986, the RBMS has grown to engage and connect members across Australia through knowledge sharing events and communications such as the Australian Stream Management Conference. We bring together a community of professionals and students to engage in new discussions, share knowledge and advance practice in catchment and river management. Our events provide a forum for robust and informed discussion on the environmental, social and economic drivers of catchment and river management. We are committed to a pragmatic, evidence-based approach to catchment and river management through an understanding of complex systems and processes. This approach has established the RBMS as an important voice in the setting of policy for catchment and river management in Victoria, with a growing influence Australia wide.
