Pacific Model United Nations (PACMUN) is a high-school created and run Model UN conference in the Seattle-Bellevue area of Washington State. PACMUN’s mission is to spread awareness of the United Nations, to motivate students to become more actively involved in local and global affairs, and to inspire students to change the world. PACMUN was founded to empower student leaders in the community. PACMUN started as a collaborative effort between delegates from Tacoma, Kent, Bellevue, and Seattle. The Secretariat and Staff consist completely of high-school students, who have both the drive and the experience to make PACMUN an amazing conference.
PACMUN's inaugural conference was held in Fall of 2014, which reached out to 400 Washington State high school students. This year PACMUN projects reach out to over 500 high school students, who now span different parts of the Pacific Northwest. As the largest conference in Washington, PACMUN’s long-term goal is to serve as a melting pot of an MUN circuit running from Oregon to Canada.
