The programs 8 offering have trained some 500 professionals from 35 states since its inception in 2011.
In 2011 and 2013, OCP published landmark research on student veterans’ progress toward degree attainment in the Post-9/11 era. The report has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Chronicle on Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, Military Advanced Education, NBC, Fox News, NPR and CNN, among other local and media outlets.
OCP regularly attends outreach events to better inform veterans and returning members of their benefits and contributes to legislative and policy initiatives affecting the military community. The project is housed under the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities (NJASCU) - a non-profit representing the nine state colleges and universities in the state.
The project is funded in part by the Wal-Mart Foundation and the American Council on Education (ACE).
