The Quartet consists of the US, the EU, Russia, and the UN. Its mandate is to help mediate Middle East peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine. The Office of the Quartet, working closely with the Quartet Envoys, supports Palestinian economic development and governance (read more at www.quartetrep.org). Our mission is “Building the State, Empowering the Economy.” We engage with key stakeholders across the Government of Israel, the Palestinian Authority, international community, and the domestic and international private sector to bridge divides where they exist and facilitate meaningful progress toward economic and institutional growth. We identify solutions that are technically, financially, legally and politically feasible.
The Office of the Quartet works on energy, water, ICT, housing, rule of law, and movement and trade, and strengthening our investment capacity. The OQ team of 50+ staff already includes a diverse set of individuals from 10+ countries, with backgrounds in finance, consulting, development, government, the legal profession, academia, and the wider private sector.
We have graduates from Oxford, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, Georgetown, Berkeley, and a number of other leading universities in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. We offer a dynamic, non-hierarchical working environment, with a unique opportunity to have real and lasting impact on the economic development of the Palestinian Territories, and thereby contribute to the Middle East Peace Process.
