The LUMS Model UN Society, or LUMUN, is Pakistan's first Model UN society, and one of its largest student-run societies. It was founded in 2002 by a group of undergraduates at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. Each year, the society conducts the annual LUMUN conference on the LUMS campus, gathering over a thousand students from all corners of Pakistan. Since 2002, it has also represented both university and country at the Harvard World Model United Nations, winning accolades including the Best Delegation Award.
LUMUN's activities include the Ambassadors Forum, which arranges panel discussions with leading international diplomats, and the Social Responsibility Program, which hopes to educate students from low-income backgrounds by empowering schools across Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
