Kidizens Build, Learn, Lead, One Brick at a Time.
Does your child love LEGO building? At Kidizens, campers are taught to collaborate with peers in a fun and interactive social learning environment. Kidizens is an innovative educational program which encourages collaborative and guided discovery of real-world concepts while role-playing and participating in fun activities in a universe built of LEGOs. The guiding principle of the Kidizens program is to offer a highly immersive, experiential learning environment for elementary schoolers and middle schoolers that nurtures their creative confidence, communication, collaboration and leadership skills. We believe that when kids are engaged in a project that they find meaningful and exciting, their desire for knowledge is limitless. Research has shown that students recall 20% of what they hear but as much as 90% of what they have the opportunity to “experience” or do. Our programs combine experiential learning with detailed civics, history and real-life lessons to create a fun LEGO building environment that encourages students to let their imaginations take them to new heights. In designing, building, and governing an interactive LEGO city, our kidizens are truly engaged and motivated to learn about everything from the intricacies of a city council meeting to the importance of managing a budget. Along the way, they learn important skills, such as problem-solving, decision making, conflict resolution, public speaking and leadership. We offer a variety of age-appropriate programs- Young Kidizens, Kidizens, Young Leaders, Young Entrepreneurs, Young Mayors, and Visionaries. We also offer in-school and customized LEGO workshops, LEGO birthday parties, and drop-in sessions to supplement our standard LEGO Summer, Spring and Fall Camps and a multitude of age-appropriate Programs offerings. We are located all across the Bay Area in the Peninsula, South Bay, and North Bay.
