Kentmun Conference

Commonly known as KentMUN, we are an international Model United Nations conference organised by the students of the University of Kent. Founded in 2018 by the Kent Model United Nations, we are now at our first conference which is happening on the 24th-26th January 2020 and are already drawing delegates from across the world. Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, that aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalisation and multilateral diplomacy. Students represent different countries, acting as diplomats negotiating in simulated debates as they could be found in different bodies of the United Nations. Participants must research their country's policies and opinions on the matters to be discussed, in order to debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.
