Interreg 2 Seas (2014-2020) is a European funding programme covering coastal regions of 4 EU Member states along the Southern North Sea and the Channel.
It aims to develop an innovative knowledge and research based, sustainable and inclusive 2 Seas area where natural resources are protected and the green economy is promoted.
For the 2014-2020 period, four themes were selected in order to make the best use of limited funds: technological and social innovation, low carbon technologies, adaptation to climate change and resource efficient economy.
By co-financing projects up to 60% it allows regional and local public authorities, SMEs, knowledge centres and other potential beneficiaries across the 2 Seas area to exchange practices and ideas and to cooperate for regional development.
