The International Studies Student Association (ISSA) is the official student organization for UCSD’s undergraduate International Studies Program.
The organization gathers like-minded individuals who share diverse interests in international studies and international relations. ISSA intends to provide a platform of rich experiences, community, and opportunities in international studies.

We are:
• A professional organization for students exploring internationally oriented careers, grad/postgrad school, and experiences: international policy, economics, cultural studies, business, education, etc. We host career and networking nights, career development panels, alumni panels, share opportunities and internship resources, and more.
• A social organization for students looking for community and mentorship. We've hosted hikes, beach socials, volunteering opportunities, even a dumpling making social! We encourage students to be part of our ideation and planning process through multiple Events Committees and separately the Writer's Committee curates content for our student blog. The ISSA Mentorship Program matches up older students who act as mentors with younger mentees.
• An academic organization that is closely associated with the International Studies Program (ISP) and the graduate School of Global Policy & Strategy (GPS). Faculty, staff, and alumni from these departments provide us a wealth of resources. In the past, we've partnered with International House to host a Global Forum on "Social Activism through Social Media" and co-sponsored a panel on "The Trump Administration and North Korea" featuring Directors of UCSD Programs and Chung-in-Moon, Special Advisor to the South Korean President.
