We help organizations address inequity, eliminate gaps in achievement and realize their purpose.
As former educators and Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching alumni, we created the Improvement Collective to help education systems address shortfalls in equity, efficiency and efficacy. We achieve this through a systems-approach that empowers communities to work collectively in the pursuit of meaningful results that benefit children and families.
As established experts in improvement science, we make an impact in five essential ways:
- We immerse ourselves in long-term advisory relationships with education systems, public sector organizations and philanthropies across the U.S.
- We guide education systems and other organizations in the creation of inclusive environments that promote continuous learning
- We help teams identify systemic breakdowns and redesign organizational processes using continuous inquiry, measurement for improvement and collective learning
- We build capacity through improvement training and workshops
- We advocate improvement science through written work and presentations and by establishing alliances with established and aspiring improvement champions
Our clients and collaborators include American Reading Company, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, California County Superintendents Educational Services Association, Central Valley Networked Improvement Community, Foster America, High Tech High, San Diego County Office of Education, Sonoma County Office of Education and WestEd.
