Hawera High School

Our High School provides a variety of academic, vocational, cultural and sporting opportunities to our students. We aim to ensure our school is a safe and supportive environment, and one that promotes opportunities to excel in academic pathways with a broad curriculum. We have specialist programs for those students with special needs (including gifted and talented), transition programs for students entering the workforce and we have internationally renowned sporting coaches on our staff. Hawera High School sets high standards for our students based on our values of Honesty, Achievement, Well-being, Excellence, Respect and Attitude. These values promote self-reflection and behaviour awareness, of being considerate to others and the environment, and being committed to being lifelong learners.
