The Dover School District is made up of approximately 4200 students and 600 employees. Three elementary schools educate students in grades K-4; a middle school serves students in grades 5-8 and a high school and career technical center serves students in grades 9-12 from Dover, Nottingham and Barrington.
The Dover Career and Technical Center provides students with an education that combines rigorous academic and technical study, preparing them for the world of work and continued education. Placing an emphasis on project-based learning, the CTC employs highly qualified instructors who bring years of experience from the industry into the classroom, creating strong connections between theory and practice.
The coming year will build on previous work, with a focus on Growth in Teaching and Learning. Staff continue to develop effective curriculum, instructional practices and collaboration opportunities. We strive to offer a learning environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking for all students. The partnership between the community and schools is critical and ensures that we live our mission of Strengthening our community by educating every child, every day.
