In addition the role included responsibility for a further school, a specialist nursery and a specialist outreach service. Also a Director of RNIB Specialist Learning Trust (a multi-academy trust and academy sponsor).

RNIB Pears School was judged to be Satisfactory by Ofsted, prior to taking over.
Oaklands Special School in Leicester was in Special Measures, prior to arrival. We came out of Special Measures in 9 months. Oaklands was the first special school in the UK to adopt the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
