AptEd is an innovative and responsive national Awarding Organisation, regulated by Ofqual to develop and offer nationally recognised qualifications.
Also licensed as an Access Validating Agency by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), AptEd (and its forerunner organisations) has been awarding the Access to Higher Education Diploma since the 1990s. There are now 20 different AptEd Access to HE Diplomas, which prepare students for progression to specific HE courses, and also provide more general preparation for HE or the workplace.
The AptEd diverse qualifications portfolio covers a wide range of skills areas and sectors and is suitable for a variety of providers including schools, colleges, private training providers and voluntary organisations.
The name AptEd reflects our mission as an organisation – “To provide access to learning, enable progression and transform lives through education.
