AEG Vietnam was founded in 1997 by Richard Sherwood and Hoan Khuat with a vision to help Vietnamese students gain access to the very best educational opportunities in the United States. At the time, it was the first and only organization in Vietnam offering counseling to place students in US boarding schools. In 2007, Caitlin Worsham joined the organization. A graduate with a Master’s in Literature from Tulane and college professor, she created and facilitated summer classes in topics such as Shakespeare and essay writing along with a new college guidance program.
Now in our third decade of operations, AEG successfully places around 160 students to US boarding schools and colleges every year. A team of professional counselors and teachers provide world-class guidance and personalized education, including in subjects to which local students don’t have access, such as finance, English literature, computer science, Spanish, and US history. Our students arrive on campus more prepared for the rigor and culture of an American educational experience.
AEG continues to be the torchbearer for ethical standards in Vietnam. Our lead counselors are all members of both IECA and NACAC, with all the tenants for good practices that entails. We continually seek to foster authentic relationships with admission counselors, for the benefit of our students and the industry.
