America House Chisinau

“Welcome to the America House in Chisinau!” If you are looking for a cool place to meet friends, listen to interesting people, participate in workshops, learn a new public speaking skill, read books in English, and borrow English-language movies, then the America House is the place for you! This center is administered by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, Moldova, and aims to provide information about the United States of America, its customs, culture, politics, history, economy, and democratic traditions. The center is open to the general public and access is free of charge. There are many reasons why the America House (AH) is a special place. You can find here a wide collection of books and DVDs, which are available for loan to registered ARC patrons. To serve your informational and educational needs, the AH provides internet access and basic computer accessibility at six workstations. The America House also plays host to weekly activities and events to introduce and highlight various aspects of American culture, including movie screenings, book discussion clubs, speaker events, etc. We hope you enjoy visiting our website and learning more about what this unique center has to offer.
