APU American International Schools is a group of independent, coeducational university preparatory day schools with three campuses and boarding facilities located in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Danang City. The medium of instruction is in English, although Vietnamese local nationals are required to take some Vietnamese courses that align with standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training. There is also a support program offered for early state English language learners. and APU offers both AP college credit courses as well as English language development programs. The school follows an American curriculum model, that includes Advanced Placement courses, College Bridge Program (CBP), blended learning, and an advanced college concurrent enrollment program that gives students an alternative opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.
The faculty are predominantly American with strong academic credentials along with faculty from around the world. Many clubs and organizations exist at APU and students also participate in community service programs in the region.
