In 1841, Clemens & August Brenninkmeijer launched a small Dutch textile company called C&A. The brothers’ vision was as simple as it was revolutionary: “Offering good quality ready-to-wear clothing at affordable prices.” 175 years later we’ve grown into one of the most trusted value fashion retailers across the globe. We may have evolved to look very different, but on the inside we are still the same.
C&A China began store operations in the spring-summer season of 2007, and has set up a local full value China operation. This means that not only C&A China operates stores here, also the design, producing, and market merchandising is done independently for the Chinese customer.
Localization is one of C&A’s key strengths in this dynamic, growing and competitive market. Bringing international retail expertise and global fashion trends along with fostering local talents, establishing a first class local infrastructure, and incorporating Asian design, handwriting and fitting into their product lines; C&A China continues to strengthen its position as a major player in the Chinese fashion retail market.
