HorseHeard is a charity specialising in Equine Facilitated Learning for vulnerable children and adults in the UK. Offering emotional health and wellbeing through connection with horses.
We help individuals explore their thought patterns, and mindset – and understand if they turned up differently what might happen? A space to stop – connect – with mind and body – to see themselves, tune into how they are feeling, and see what it might be like to engage an issue from a different place.
Why horses?
Horses are extremely sensitive to their environment; they pickup subtle cues in our behaviour and provide instant and honest feedback. Creating experiences that are both powerful and effective.
Our vision is to offer HorseHeard programmes of Equine Facilitated Learning in the UK through regional delivery teams, via direct intervention, or in strategic partnership with appropriate social or community focused bodies.
HorseHeard are proud to work with diverse groups including: UK County councils, schools and colleges, CAMHS, young carers and those in care, armed forces, NHS Charities Together and more.
The HorseHeard charity has been helping vulnerable people since 2013 and we can see that our programmes are working, with 100% of service veterans reporting improvement in their mental health and more than 90% of young people benefitting from behaviour change and increased confidence and wellbeing.
