Our History
We were established in Wollongong in March 1969 and the Nowra branch was opened in 1981. The service is non-denominational and Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters come from a wide range of backgrounds.
Today, somewhere in Australia there is a new call to Lifeline’s 24 hour crisis line 13 11 14 every minute.
As a charity we rely on the support of the community to support our life saving work.
