Helsinki International Film Festival (HIFF) consists of the 11-day festival Love & Anarchy held annually in September and the industry event Finnish Film Affair which takes place during the festival. HIFF’s boutique festival R&A Spring Break is organized in April.
HIFF promotes the artistry of filmmaking by showcasing inventive, groundbreaking and visually stunning new films. Love & Anarchy’s program consists of 130 feature films and 140 short films. The festival programme presents new films from well-known filmmakers and fresh talents alike, with the emphasis on addressing societal issues, promoting gender equality and diversifying the representation of voices and makers in cinema.
