Established in 1956, Khamisani Sons started its operations from a small, rented room in a hotel. The late Abdul Quadir Khamisani (1935 – 1987) and his brother, the late Abdul Jabbar Khamisani (1937 – 2017) worked their way up as sub-agents, and within a decade, earned the distinction of being the only agency to simultaneously receive approval for both travel & cargo operations from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1966. In 1970, the late Abdul Quadir Khamisani became a founding member of the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP); TAAP has since become a regulatory body for the travel industry in Pakistan. He was also involved in the formation of the Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan (CAAP).
