Hagar USA is part of Hagar International, an organization committed to the protection, recovery and reintegration of women and children who have suffered severe human rights abuses such as human trafficking, slavery, abuse or exploitation. Hagar is tenacious in the face of the deep wounding that comes from severe abuse. Through its social programs and partnerships, Hagar ensures high quality services in healthcare, legal support, psycho-social support, education, family services, training and employment. Hagar is committed to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to restore a life to wholeness.
Hagar responds to the most severe injustice and alienation against individual women and children. We identify the individual needs and potential of each survivor. Hagar is focused on the dignity and resilience of the individual and committed to real life-giving relationships that nurture each person to their full potential. We provide beneficiaries with the safety and needed supports to promote hope, healing, resilience, and dignity so that they can experience transformation.
Hagar provides direct services to beneficiaries in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Singapore and Vietnam with fundraising & advocacy offices in the USA, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. The USA team began in 2005, but the global organization is now in its 25th year of service provision to those in need of trauma recovery.
