The British School was established, originally as a primary school, in 1966. It is a fee-paying, not-for-profit, independent, international school delivering the English National Curriculum with sixty full time UK recruited staff (including the Principal). The school accommodates students from Foundation 1 to A Levels. The International Primary Curriculum is followed alongside National Curriculum Mathematics and English from Foundation 1 to Year 6. Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel syllabi are followed for IGCSE and A Level examinations (CIE is a part of the UCLES Examinations Board).
The School currently serves 40 nationalities all sharing English as the teaching medium. The school is very well resourced and currently has 500 learners on roll. As staff, we are very committed to the multicultural aspects of the school. We are an inclusive school and as such we value each pupil and the wealth of experience and culture that they each contribute to the school as a whole.
