Opole is a voivodeship capital, located in the south of Poland near the Czech Republic (45 min of road) and Germany (2 h of road). It covers an area of 149 km2, with a population of 128 000, and, together with the adjacent 19 comunes, forms the Opole Metropolitan Area inhabited by more than 335 000 people. As part of the Opole Metropolitan Area, the city maintains close cooperation with its constituent gminas, directed at economic growth and job creation. Opole offers a particularly friendly environment for engaging in and developing business. This is confirmed by, among others, the second position in the prestigious cities attractive to business in the Forbes magazine as well as high fourth position in the ranking of business-friendly cities presented by the "Newsweek" magazine. We are a significant point on the investment map of Poland - the country that has seen a robust increase in direct investment inflow in recent years.
