Namely, with jackfruit: the meatiest plant on the planet. Our founder, Annie Ryu, was working on a healthcare venture in rural India when she met Jack. She quickly realized that jackfruit was an underutilized miracle crop with the power to improve the lives of farming families, make our diets more sustainable, and offer a delicious meat alternative that's actually made from real plants. So, jack & annie's was born. Every day, we help people eat less meat with more joy. And we're proud to say that our super-tasty, stellar-for-your-health-and-the-planet whole plant foods aren't "based" on anything.
