ac.care was started by people living in country South Australia - Mount Gambier - who found a gap in services for teenagers needing foster care and created a charity to meet this gap.
They provide community services in the Murray Mallee, Riverland and South East of South Australia.
ac.care works for these communities:
- recruiting and supporting foster carers
- providing specialist homelessness services
- services for Aboriginal people
- family support and counselling
- micro-finance program
- running community centres in Mount Gambier and Berri
- managing the Family Relationship Centre in Mount Gambier
They work with people to build on their strengths to make lasting change when they are experiencing emotional, relationship or financial issues.
