Founded in 1947, Bnei Akiva Melbourne is a religious Zionist youth movement which aims to educate its members on ideological, social and communal issues.
As the largest branch of Bnei Akiva in the diaspora, we work in a large team of over 70.
We aim to develop innovative, challenging and informative activities for approximately 400 school children aged on a weekly basis while cultivating the ability to work in large and small team.
We develop well rounded, critical thinking young adults and members of the community who continually strive for self and group improvement and fulfilment. Most importantly, we are proud to provide meaningful content to the passionate young people in our community, whether in person or online when necessary.
As the local hub as part of Bnei Akiva Australia Inc, we aim to inspire and empower young Jewish youth in Melbourne through the pillars of:
- Commitment to the Torah and its values
- Commitment to the land of Israel and bettering the world around us
- Commitment to the value of Aliyah to Israel
