Zonta Club Of Northampton Area

Zonta Club of Northampton Area is a service and advocacy organization working to provide a better world for women and girls in our area as well as worldwide. Zonta International was founded in Buffalo, NY in 1919, and has grown to include 1200 clubs in 67 countries and geographic areas, with more than 24,000 members. Zonta International addresses the pressing issues affecting women and girls, and also the challenges to women’s equality in science, business, public affairs and government. Zontians volunteer their time and talents to promote universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. As a non-governmental organization (NGO), Zonta maintains consultative status with various United Nations agencies. Zonta’s efforts focus on preventing violence against women and children, as well as potential victims of human trafficking around the globe.
