MISSION STATEMENT
World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed, to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear good news of the kingdom of God.
ABOUT WORLD VISION SWAZILAND
World Vision Swaziland (WVS) began in 1992 as an emergency relief organization before transitioning to transformational development and advocacy for the most vulnerable children, people and communities in Swaziland. With a high HIV prevalence, Swaziland has a significant proportion of children without parents (orphans) who generally tend to have poorer health, nutrition and education outcomes. WVS supports broader government initiatives targeted at these and other vulnerable children, and further works with traditional structures existing within the communities, to ensure sustainability.
Registered children
World Vision Swaziland is supporting 62,930 Registered Children (RC) in the 20 Area Programs it works in, across the country, namely: Ekukhanyeni, Gege, Lubulini, Macudvulwini, Madlangemphisi, Mahlalini, Maphalaleni, Mhlosheni, Maseyisini, Matsanjeni, Mkhiweni, Mpolonjeni, Mtsambama, Ngudzeni, Shewula, Shiselweni, Shiselweni 1, Sithobela, Somntongo and Velezizweni.
