Women In Maritime & Energy Awards

The Women in Maritime and Energy Awards is a first of its kind initiative to place importance on the impact and recognition of the ever-growing achievements of women in the Maritime and Energy industries while celebrating and honoring the women making the greatest and remarkable impacts in both industries. At The WIME Awards, we recognize the benefits of increasing women’s participation in employment and leadership roles which have been globally proven to an enabler for economic growth and development. As more women are emerging achievers at higher levels in the Maritime and Energy industries than ever before, it is imperative to celebrate and tell the stories of the advancement and successes recorded as well as the greater value and development women are bringing to both industries by providing their expertise, experience, knowledge, education and talent to enhance business results. The purpose of this initiative is to first encourage the women who are in the field while challenging them to create more value for their organizations and industries. The initiative will also help amplify the drive for diversity and inclusion, inspire the aspirations of younger women who have interest for these industries that are historically male dominated. As the first of its kind in Nigeria, it is expected that this will be a center stage to continue to rally support for women empowerment and development in the Maritime and Energy industries in Nigeria, and by extension, Africa at large.
