Wild Pockets is a spin out company from Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. Drawing from the initial vision of bringing 3D game environments and experiences to the masses, this passionate team of game developers, artists, engineers and dreamers have spent the past few years envisioning and building the next generation platform for games and media on the web. The internet has rapidly progressed from text to images to movies to 2D media — we believe the next big wave is interactive, 3D media. The Wild Pockets team is on a mission to not only technically enable full 3D environments to run in the browser, but to build an entire ecosystem that simplifies the process of creating 3D games and media, distributing this content and building lasting businesses and communities around this content. The Wild Pockets platform is currently in open beta — it is free to use and continues to evolve in real time with new features and enhanced functionality added regularly. We have big visions for this platform and it will be an ever evolving community influenced by developers to support the life cycle of their development.
