PLAYING A TXTPLAY In Txtplay we are interested in, using technology to create exciting and motivating learning situations. We use SMS as our media, because this is a reliable and accessible tool that the vast majority of today have at hand. Thus we have the opportunity to make games where the phone becomes a natural tool in the interaction among the students. With SMS students get information about tasks and goals for their participation in the game. The games create learning by combining location, text messaging and interaction. To achieve the goals in the game, participants collaborate with their peers, respond to text messages and move around to various locations that are part of the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------- TO COOPERATE WITH TXTPLAY In Txtplay we make games for the dissemination of technical content. We tailor games to our partners that is based on the content to be disseminated. By using the locations that the partner already has, we create a game that motivates students to explore. The games we design making sure students will have unique experiences, that makes the afterwards treatment of the content more interesting to share. We use the scientific content that our partners would like to use and create with this a unique game that meets their needs.
