VIFIN is a knowledge and research center at the Municipality of Vejle. We work to create, disseminate and mainstream good practice on integration and social development at the local, regional, national and international levels.

The Company
VIFIN was established in 2002 by the Vejle Municipality to facilitate the integration of migrants into the Danish society.
It collects, adapts, develops and disseminates best practices on migrant integration. Through the years, the Centre has specialised in the use of digital and mobile platforms in teaching, particular Danish as a Second Language, and culture.
Its projects include: a web-based, distance learning of Danish as a second language (www.dansk.nu ), a language simulator, mobile language laboratory, diversity management, micro-enterprise development for migrants, migrant and integration-related surveys, and experience sharing among, and development of integration methodologies in partnership with institutions involved in migrant integration in Europe.
VIFIN has 15 full-time staff, and a reach of over 5000 migrant students, accessed through its current projects and through its network of local and national public and private organisations, learning institutions, NGOs, and other organisations involved in migrant integration.
