The Uniliga is the largest esports league for universities in Germany and a project of the start-up company UNI Esports GmbH, which was originally founded by students and has been the most important contact for esports at German universities since 2014. Currently, more than 4,000 active players are organised in over 600 teams at around 200 locations in the Uniliga. The Uniliga organises competitions and championships, offers livestreams and advises students on setting up esport networks and tournaments. It is thus a launch pad for the esports professionals of tomorrow and forms the foundation for amateur esports throughout Germany. With leagues for League of Legends, Counter-Strike:GO, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Rainbow Six: Siege, Legends of Runeterra, Formula 1, Chess, TFT and Valorant, the Uniliga covers all facets of esports. Partners and supporters include Techniker Krankenkasse, hanuta RIEGEL, the ICT solution provider Axians, Weisse Ring and the renowned gaming brand MSI.
