Tulsa Botanic Garden is developing on a 170-acre site just 8 miles northwest of downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Garden is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to promote the beauty and importance of plants and nature to create a more sustainable and harmonious world.
The master plan for developing approximately 70 acres into horticultural gardens and facilities was unveiled in December 2012. The A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces, a 3-acre ornamental garden, opened in October 2015 and includes over 8,000 permanent plants, three cascading water features and 5,700 square feet in seasonal plant display. Over 100,000 bulbs are planted for the annual Tulsa Botanic Blooms celebration, one of the largest in the region.
The Children's Discovery Garden opened in May 2016 as a wonderland garden environment with hands-on activities throughout.
The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Grange event center provides indoor space for educational workshops and programs as well as a unique and beautiful setting for private events including weddings, corporate parties and more.
Groundbreaking for the Bumgarner Lotus Pool and Stanford Family Liberty Garden was in March 2022 and both of these new gardens will open on Friday, July 21, 2023.
