The Wolfy Foundation raises funds and awareness about brain cancer.
Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in adults aged under 40 in Australia and kills more children than any other cancer. However very little is known about brain cancer, what causes it or how to treat it effectively.
In the last 30 years, there have been significant increases in survival for Australians diagnosed with leukaemia and breast cancer. However, the survival rate for Australians diagnosed with brain cancer remains relatively unchanged. Although brain cancer costs more per patient than any other cancer, it receives only a small fraction of cancer research funding.
