The SHARAN Project is a leading charity aimed to empower, educate and inspire women who want to actively learn more about the support and choices that are available to them and to provide them with tools to lead successful independent lives without fear.
We support women, particularly South Asian women who have affected by abuse or persecution and are at risk of, or have been disowned due to Harmful Practices such as forced marriage, honour based abuse (actual and perceived), dowry and domestic violence.
Being away from home can be daunting and there are many questions. Who do you trust? What do you do now? Where can you go to get culturally sensitive assistance? SHARAN offers free, confidential and culturally sensitive support.
The SHARAN Project, provides support on key life skills and advice on a range of issues including health, housing, employment, education, financial, legal and personal development, to support vulnerable women in their transition to independent living without fear.
