The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada ("The Center"), a community-based 501(c)3 organization, supports and promotes activities directed at furthering the well-being, positive image, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, its allies, and low to moderate income residents in Southern Nevada.
The Center has offered a plethora of programs and services since 1993, including but not limited to: social and discussion groups for youth, gay and bisexual men, transgender people and their loved-ones, seniors and lesbians; HIV and STI counseling, testing and prevention education; free vaccinations; computer and internet access; civil rights advocacy; addiction and recovery counseling; youth and senior drop-in hours; educational workshops; and referrals to culturally competent community organizations – all free of charge. Furthermore, The Center provides meeting space for approximately 130 local LGBTQ groups and organizations and serves over 87,000 people annually.
