The Joy of Sox® is a nonprofit whose MISSION is to help give joy and health to those experiencing homelessness by giving them new socks. Their VISION is to be the most effective sock charity in the United States and to give every person experiencing homelessness in America six new pairs of socks every year.
The Joy of Sox does three things:
1. Raises funds.
2. Collects new socks (helps raise community awareness of homelessness).
3. Distributes the socks to those experiencing homelessness.
How Can You Help?
If you are interested in helping provide a basic need such as socks for the homeless we can definitely use your support.
To accomplish this we need:
Contributions from individuals, companies, and foundations.
Involvement by community groups such as schools or service clubs to conduct sock drives
Volunteers to help sort, package and distribute the socks.
