The Great War Flying Museum, operated by the Ontario Aviation Historical Society since 1970, is a volunteer member organization. We are a diverse group of aviation enthusiasts, pilots, history buffs, and mechanics, all with a passion for bringing WWI aviation to life.
You don’t need a pilot’s license to be a member! Whether you are a history buff, mechanic, or just enjoy being around the aircraft, we welcome everyone with an interest. Enjoy the benefits of year-round museum access, museum social functions, and the chance to help work on the aircraft. Membership is $200 in the first year; $160 annually thereafter.
Our replica WWI aircraft perform flypasts at airshows and commemorations, including Brampton’s annual Remembrance Day Ceremony. Two were used on the set of the movie The Aviator!
